Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Trionex EPOS application (the “App”, for Windows and Android) handles information. The App connects your point-of-sale to your receipt printer and is designed to keep your business information on your own premises. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Information the App uses

• Activation key. The key you enter to activate the App is kept on your device and used to confirm your license is valid.
• A device identifier. So that each license is used on one device, the App creates an identifier for the device and sends it, along with your activation key, when checking your license. It is not used to identify you personally.
• Printer details. The printer settings you enter are saved on your device so the App can send receipts to your printer. They are not sent to us.
• Receipts you print. Receipts are sent directly to your printer on your own network. Their content is not sent to Trionex and is not stored by us.
• Activity records. The App keeps simple records on the device to help with troubleshooting. These stay on your device.

What we do NOT collect

• No names, emails, phone numbers, or accounts are required by the App.
• No location, contacts, or photos.
• No advertising and no tracking. We do not sell or rent any information.

How information is used

• To activate your device and confirm your license is valid.
• To apply your license terms (for example, pausing printing if a license is suspended).
• To run the App and help solve problems if you contact support.

Sharing

The activation key and device identifier are sent only to Trionex to manage your license, using a secure connection. We do not share this information with third parties except where required by law.

Security

License information is stored securely on your device, and communication with Trionex uses a secure connection.

Keeping and removing information

License records are kept while your license is active and as needed for support and record-keeping. Information stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the App.

Android permissions

• Internet, so the App can check your license with Trionex.
• Notifications and background running, so the App stays ready to print.
• Start on restart, so the App is available again after the device restarts.

Children

The App is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
